The Mitchell Cemetery is another of Christian County’s family cemeteries that has long ago all but disappeared.  According to Ralph and Lena Wills who have been so instrumental in tracking down the old cemeteries, it was located about 7 miles from Chadwick. According to their information there were several field stone markers, but only one readable stone. It belonged to Clyde Stewart, B Feb 1 1879, and died Oct 5 1885. He was a son of Bud Stewart and had a twin brother who survived. Others said to be buried there are Lum Dye’s father, and an infant son of Sadie (DeWitt) Cox.
