In Memory

In loving memory of our dead companion and father, Mr. Art Harden, who fell asleep January 7, 1925. Farewell, dear companion and Father. You departed from our band. Yet, we know you are sleeping peaceful, sleeping, Jesus gently took your hand. Yes, He took your hand and led you Away from this wicked world of sin. He bade you follow his commandments, and a glorious prize you’d win. Could a prize be more elated Than the one he offers us? Yet we hear the truth debated An in Him are fain to trust. Though your absence sadly grieves us How it thrills us who remain When we think thought you have left us Yet this glorious prize you may claim. And, we hear the voice of Jesus, “Cast on Me thy keepings, Sorrow not and journey onward. He is not dead, but sleeping.” Sleeping ‘neath the cold ground To await the glorious day When peace on earth will abound And God will hold sway.  Wife & Children
