Elsa May "Granny" Ice, 87, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2005, in her home with her daughter, Shirley and grand-daughter by her side. Elsa was born in Reeds Spring, Mo., on May 3, 1917. Elsa was married to Linval Ice on March 26, 1938, in Ozark, Mo. She worked hard all of her life. For many years she worked as a seamstress at Jethro Garment Factory. Later She worked as a dishwasher at the College Street Cafe. Many knew her as Granny and everyone loved and adored her. She always put a smile on everyone's face, even when she was sick. She attended the Salvation Army Church for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Linval; brother, George Vinson; a daughter, Carolyn Sue Ice. Survivors include a daughter, Shirley, of the home; son, Manuel Ice of Washington State; two grandsons, Dwayne Long, who she raised, of Springfield, and Brian of Colorado; four granddaughters, Teresa of Republic, Carol of Fresno, Calif., and Lisa and Lori of Washington State; and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, March 30, 2005, at 10 a.m. in the Midtown Chapel of Thieme-Shadel-Hicks Funeral Service, with Reverend Derl Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Park Cemetery. Visitation is today from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

Ella Levetta Idell was born October 1, 1917 in Christian County to Charles J. and Stella O. (Lakes) Dalton and departed this life on Sunday, August 11, 1996 at the Primrose Place, Springfield after a long illness of leukemia. She was united in marriage to Virgil Idell on October 25, 1945, who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and life-long resident of the Rogersville and Fordland area Ella accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior at the early age of 11 and united with West Finley Baptist Church. She was a member for 68 years. She served there as a pianist and clerk for over 30 years. She especially enjoyed reading and writing poems and was devoted to her family and friends and loved to praise the Lord in music and song. She is survived by two sons, Gary Idell and his wife, Karen of San Pedro, Ca., Clyde and his wife, Cathey of Ozark and a daughter, Jean Owsley, of Springfield. She is also survived by a brother, Clinton Dalton of Rogersville, a sister, Beulah Lassley, and husband, Jack, of Rogersville. Also surviving are 2 brothers-in-law Cecil and wife Juanita Idell, and Junior Bone, all of’ Burneyville, Ok. and 6 grandchildren: Adam, Megan, Robert, and Jason Idell, also Darrell and Bradley White and a step-grandchild, Emily Owsley, as well as several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Services will be held August 14, 1996 at 2:00 p.m. with Preston Marsh Funeral Home in Rogersville. Mo. Burial will be at West Finley Baptist Cemetery south of Fordland.

Clyde Lee Iler, 64, of Nixa, Mo., passed away on December 1, 2007. He was born on January 6, 1943, in Springfield, to Clyde and Mabel (Lantis) Iler. He graduated from Central High School in Springfield. Lee retired from the Springfield Fire Department as a Battalion Chief after 27 years of service, where he was instrumental in the development of the Hazardous Material Response team and Honor Guard. He was also an instructor for the University of Missouri Fire and Rescue. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Mabel Iler; and sister Mary Shull. Lee is survived by his wife, Marsha (Jennings) Iler; sons, Bruce Iler and Wendy, and Brad Iler; two sisters, Ellen Maddox and her husband, Bob, and Ethel Bergen; brother-in-law Jesse Shull; his grandchildren, Angela, Brooke and Megan; and numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and close friends. Lee attended Cassidy United Methodist Church in Nixa and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed camping and fishing with family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2007, at 10 a.m. in the Greenlawn Funeral Home North chapel. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery, Buffalo, Missouri, immediately following service. Visitation will be held this evening, December 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Tom Steele Memorial Fund through St. John's Community Foundation, Shriners Children's Hospital or the American Heart Association.

Ozark relatives were advised this week of the death of a former Ozark resident, Mrs. Bessie Immel of Upland, Calif. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Leonora Saltonstall and Mrs. Paul H. Dibble of Ontario, Calif, two sons, Clifford and Joe Immel of Upland, and two sisters, Mrs. Finn Erickson of Everett, Wash, and Mrs. Ross W. Bingham of Springfield. Mrs. D. O. Leonard of Ozark is a cousin. Interment was at Ontario on Wednesday.

Ozark relatives have received word of the death of Clifford I. Immel, 63, at his home in Ontario, Calif. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Immel, former residents of Ozark. He had lived in Ontario since 1933 and was a retired Southern California Edison employee, a member of the First Christian Church at Ontario, and of San Bernardino Lodge No. 348, A. F. & A. M. Survivors include his wife, Geraldine; a son, Clifford, La Canada, Calif; a daughter, Phyllis Culver, Ontario; two sisters, Mrs. Paul Dibble, Ontario and Mrs. Phillip Barnack, Upland, Calif.; a brother, Lt. Col. Joseph H. Immel, Vandenburg Village, Calif. and five grandchildren. Funeral services and interment were at Upland.

Funeral of Miss Immel
The remains of Miss Mary R. Immel, aged 48, who died in Kansas City, Saturday morning of tuberculosis, was received by the Paxon Undertaking Co., yesterday evening. The remains were this morning buried in Maple Park cemetery. The services were held at the undertaking parlor, Rev. Stephen B. Campbell conducting the services. Miss Immel was the sister of Dr. Immel, a veterinarian who formerly lived here. The body was accompanied by the parents. Miss Immel was at one time a resident of Ozark and was well and favorably known here a number of years ago. She is a sister of E. H. Immel, the harness man who has been confined to his home the past three weeks from an attack of the typhoid fever and not yet able to be out, so was unable to attend the funeral, the aged father however who resides with his son will attend.

W. H. Immel, former Ozark harness maker, died at his home at Uplands, Calif., Tuesday afternoon, following a stroke. The Immel family left Ozark more than 20 years ago to make their home in California. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Bessie Immel, sister of M.R. Logan of Ozark and four children.

1930-2004 Margaret (Marge) Ingalls, 73, of Springfield, Mo., passed over to her eternal home to be in the presence of her Lord, whom she had loved since her childhood. Marge had been a resident of the Republic Christian Health Care Center where she departed this world on Sept. 14, 2004. Marge fought a long, courageous battle with Alzheimer's, with the help of family, friends and the excellent staff of her skilled nursing home. Margaret was born Sept. 17, 1930, in St. Louis, Mo., to Albert Schoellig and Ethel York Schoellig. At an early age, she sensed God's call for service and would later attend Olivet Nazarene University near Chicago, where she met her future husband, James Ingalls of Iowa. They were united in marriage in 1951, graduating from seminary in 1956. Their pastoral journey began shortly after their marriage in 1951 in Illinois and continued in North Carolina, California, Missouri, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Kentucky, Kansas, and Indiana. Their last regular pastorate was with the Crestview Church of the Nazarene in Springfield. The Ingalls retired after 50 years of united service in pastoral and evangelistic ministries. Coupled with their domestic pastorates, they traveled to 55 different countries in ministry act ivies. Marge was known for her great energy, charisma and purpose. Her influence for Christ was measured by the multitude of friends who hold her in the highest esteem. Her ministry was especially outstanding with cultural groups in Los Angeles, Pasadena, San Francisco and other centers. Her radiance and personality influenced thousands in her constant quest to please the Lord Jesus who called her and equipped her with gifts and graces. She personified all that is beautiful and godly in a Christian woman and will long be remembered for her personal touch by all her friends and acquaintances. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Louis; and is survived by her sister, Betty Robertson of Florida. She is also survived by her husband, James; their daughter, Karen Mitchell and son-in-law of Nixa, Jeffrey; and three grandchildren, Bryan, Alison and Alyssa. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Saturday and are to be conducted at the chapel at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Greenlawn North and burial at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made in Marge's memory to the Alzheimer Association, S.W. Lawson S. Ingalsbe, 80. of Springfield, died at noon Thursday in St. John’s Hospital after an illness of three months. Mr. Ingalsbe, who had lived in Springfield since 1940, had been employed by the MFA Milling Company, Cloud Oak Floor Company, and for five years prior to his retirement last April, he worked in the maintenance department of St. John’s Hospital. Mr. Ingalsbe was a veteran of World War I and was a member of World War I and was a member of VFW Post 3404. A lifelong member of the Christian Church, he was an ordained elder in the Southland Christian Church, Survivors include his wife Isabel; four sons, Lawson J., Paul W., Donald L. and Dwight W., all of Springfield; four daughters, Mrs. C. W. Kemm, Springfield, Mrs. Delbert Mullens, Houston, Tex., Mrs. Dennis Gilbert, Richmond, Va. and Mrs. Stanley Brunswick, Sacramento, Calif.; one brother, Franz Ingalsbe of Ozark; one sister, Mrs. George Rasmussen of Ozark; and 19 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Charles Elmo Ingenthron, 77, of Kirbyville, died Saturday morning in his home after a long illness. Services for Mr. Ingenthron were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Williams Memorial Chapel, School of the Ozarks, with Dr. Clark officiating. Burial was in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson, under the direction of Snapp's Funeral Home, Branson. Mr. Ingenthron was a native of Taney County and was a historian. He earned degrees from Southwest Missouri State University (Springfield), the University of Missouri-Columbia, and also studied at the University of Arkansas, Oklahoma A&M, and the University of Arizona. He was principal of the Branson High School, Superintendent of Abesville Consolidated School and Blue Eye Public Schools, and Taney County Superintendent of Schools. He taught in many of the Taney County rural schools. During World War II, he was a Navy Lieutenant in the Pacific Theater. He was the organizer and first president and historian of the White River Valley Historical Society. He was past president of the Missouri County Superintendent Association. He was an active farmer and forester, and was a historian and author. He was a Mason and belonged to the Boy Scouts of America. He is survived by his son, Chandis Ingenthron, Ozark; a brother, Oren Ingenthron, Forsyth; three sisters, Elsie Palmer, Forsyth, Ruth Jefferies, Springfield, and Thelma Wallace, El Cajon, California.

OZARK - A retired farmer and a resident of Ozark for 12 years, Charles W. Ingenthron, 91, died at 5:25 a.m. Wednesday in the Springfield Medicenter. Mr. Ingenthron was a resident of Walnut Shade area most of his life and was a member of the Pleasant Shade Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Lunda; three daughters, Mrs. Katherine Raymer of Ozark and Mrs. Josephine Palmer of Ozark and Mrs. Madge Bertrand of Austin, Nev.; one brother, Oliver of Davenport, Okla; three sisters, Mrs. Ella Dunn of Walnut Shade, Mrs. Katherine Cofield and Mrs. Florence Whitley, both of Forsyth; and six grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. WALNUT SHADE - Funeral services for D. J. Ingenthron, 91 of Walnut Shade, were at 2 p.m. Monday in Oak Ridge Full Gospel Church, north of Branson, with the Rev. Mitchell Dunn officiating. Burial was in Walnut Shade Cemetery under direction of Clarkson of Forsyth. Mr. Ingenthron died Friday at 10 p.m. in Christian County Nursing Home, Ozark, where he had lived for three years. He was a farmer and cattleman and was one of Taney County’s oldest residents. Surviving are a son, Homer Ingenthron of Bradleyville; three brothers, Charley of Ozark, Henry of Springfield, and Oliver of Davenport, Okla; three sisters, Mrs. Florence Whitley and Mrs. Katherine Merriott, both of Forsyth, and Mrs. Ella Dunn, Walnut Shade; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

OZARK - Mrs. Lunda N. Ingenthron, 98, Ozark, died this morning in St. John’s Hospital, Springfield after several weeks’ illness. A native of Walnut Shade, she was a longtime resident of Taney County, having lived for a few years in California. For the past 13 years, she had made her home in Ozark. Mrs. Ingenthron was a member of Pleasant Shade Baptist church near Walnut Shade. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Katherine Raymer and Mrs. Josephine Palmer, both of Ozark and Mrs. Madge Betrand, Austin, Nev.; a brother, Morgan E. Palmer, Forsyth; six grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Services were at 2 p.m. Friday in the Harris Chapel, Ozark with the Rev. Bruce Maples officiating. Burial was in Walnut Shade Cemetery.

Highway 65 in Dallas County. He was in the fourth grade at Mallory Elementary School, Buffalo, and attended Nixa Christian preschool and kindergarten in Nixa before moving to Buffalo in 1980. He attended Union Mound Baptist Church, Buffalo. Services for Ivy Ingle, 66, Bois D’Arc, were held Sept. 18 in Jackson Funeral Chapel, Harrisburg, Ark. Burial was in Holly Springs Cemetery, Harrisburg. Mrs. Ingle died of natural causes Sept. 15 in Cox Medical Center South, Springfield. A former Sparta resident, she moved to Bois’D’Arc a short time ago. She was a retired Fasco Industries employee and a member of the Baptist faith. Funeral services for William Oliver Ingle, 65, of Reeds Spring, were at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Stumpff Chapel with the Rev. Leland Loy officiating. Graveside services and burial were in Capron, Okla. Mr. Ingle was serving his second terms as superintendent of schools at Chadwick and had taught school for 12 years prior at Forsyth. A member of the Baptist Church, he also was a member of the Missouri State Teachers Association and the IOOF and Rebekah Lodge at Blue Island, Ill. Mr. Ingle died at 9:45 p.m. Thursday in St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, following a brief illness. Surviving are his wife, Lila; one brother, Wilbert of Alva, Okla; three sisters, Mrs. Anna May Stanford, Alva, Mrs. Inis McMurtrey, Cherokee, Okla. and Mrs. Neva Van Sickle, Medford, Okla.

Mrs. Florence Garrison Ingram, 82, a lifelong Ozark resident, died in 8:04 p.m. Tuesday in St. John’s Hospital Springfield after a short illness. Survivors are three nieces, Mrs. Annabelle Fox of St. Louis, Mrs. Mildred Silvey of Ava and Mrs. Celo Hawkins of Ozark; and two nephews, Howard Garrison and Ralph Garrison, both of Ozark. Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. today in Harris Chapel here with the Rev. Don Jewett officiating. Burial was in the Garrison Family Cemetery near her home just northeast of Ozark.

Robert P. Ingram, of Nixa, MO died February 1, 2012. He was 84 years old. He was born in Harrison, AR; January 26, 1928, the son of the late Paul N. and M. Belle Ingram. He married Clara Morae Harris in November of 1948 at the First Baptist Church in Harrison. Bob worked for Arkansas Power and Light Co. (now Energy Arkansas) for 43 years and 11 months. He started at Harrison, worked in Little Rock for 12 years before moving to Searcy in 1980, working there for 10 years before retiring as District Superintendent of the Searcy District in Searcy, AR. After retirement, they moved to Nixa in 1993. He served on the Nixa Board of Adjustment and as a Commissioner of the Nixa Special Road District for several years. He was an active member of Ridgecrest Baptist church in Springfield, MO. He was a mason for 50 plus years, belonging to the Boone Lodge #314 at Harrison and the Scottish Rite in Little Rock. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Clara Ingram. He is also survived by his brother William R. of Harrison, AR and his sister Betty Ferguson of Houston, TX. He also leaves behind many Nieces and Nephews, along with a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be Saturday, February 4; 11am with visitation beginning at 10am in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, 1947 E. Seminole St. Springfield, MO 65804, with the Reverend Hosea Bilyeu officiating. Graveside services will be Saturday at 2pm at the Maplewood cemetery in Harrison, AR. Addie Mae Inman, 89, a longtime resident of Sparta before moving to Springfield, died Dec. 7, 2010, in Webco Manor, Marshfield. She was born March 21, 1921, in Marshfield, one of seven daughters of Louie Elmer and Opal (Rost) Farr. She was united in marriage to Carl Inman, who preceded her in death in 1993. Four sisters also preceded her in death. Mrs. Inman was a member of Briar Street Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking for her family, writing poetry and flower arranging. Bessie was born on February 3, 1934 in Rogersville, Mo., to Ellis Byron Williams and Margaret (Wilkerson) Williams. She was a graduate of Rogersville High School class of 1952. Bessie was married to Bobby Eugene Inman on August 30, 1952 and he preceded her in death on August 30, 1986. Bessie was a member of the Henderson Baptist Church, Rogersville. She and her husband had owned and operated Resorts at the Lake of the Ozarks and Bull Shoals. Surviving is one son, Darell Inman (Jan) of Cleveland, Mo; three daughters, Debbie Reaves (Mike) of Mt. Burnice Eugene Inman, age 87, of Springfield, died Friday, January 22, in his home. He was born March 26, 1911 in Battlefield and was the son of Isaiah and Martha (Hale) Inman. On Dec. 3, 1932 he and Velma Davis were married. Mr. Inman was a farmer and carpenter. He was a member of Sparta First Baptist Church. Carl Norman Inman, 74, Sparta, passed away Thursday, Nov. 4, 1993 at 9:15 a.m. in the Ozark Riverview Manor Nursing Home following a long illness. Carl was born Dec. 12, 1918 in Sparta, the son of Isaiah and Martha Jane Hale Inman. He was the fourth of six children. He was united in marriage to Addie Mae Farr on Sept. 14, 1941. To this union was born twin daughters, Betty and Beverly. Carl, a lifelong resident of the Sparta community, was a retired truck driver and dairy farmer. The most important things in his life were his Christian faith, his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Addie Mae; daughters Betty Short, Ozark, Beverly and her husband, Darrell Pinkley, Rogersville; two brothers, Burnice and wife Velma Inman, Springfield, Ray and wife June Inman, Sparta; one sister, Edith Billings, Sparta, five grandchildren, Steven and Karen Throckmorton, Dane, Sarah and Mark Short; a host of loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services for David P. Inman who died suddenly at his home at Brookline, Sunday night were held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Walnut Hill Church of Christ, with burial in the Patterson cemetery under the direction of Wilburn Maples Funeral Home of Clever. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lucinda Inman, six daughters: Mrs. Charles Bussard of Springfield, Mrs. Felix McCroskey of Republic, Mrs. Warren McElheney of Republic, Mrs. Ora Harris of Springfield; Mrs. Charles McElheney of El Centro, California and Mrs. Claire Alexander of Kansas City, MO. Three sons, T.D. Inman of the home, D. O. Inman of Springfield and W.E. Inman of Louisville, KY; 30 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Services for Dina M. Inman, 9, Cameron, N.C., were held Feb. 13 at the Clever Full Gospel Church. Burial was in McConnell Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Harris Funeral Home of Ozark. The child died Feb. 11 at St. John’s Regional Health Center following a sled accident Feb. 9 in Galena. Burial was in McConnell Memorial Cemetery near here. Mr. Inman was killed Saturday in a two-car headon crash on U.S. 65 about a half mile south of Springfield. A resident of the Nixa area most of his life, Mrs. Inman was a carpenter. Survivors include his wife, Helen; a daughter, Mrs. Brenda Fletcher, of the home; two brothers, Edgar of Nixa, and Kenneth of Independence; and three sisters, Mrs. Lydia McConnell, Mrs. Lavanda Pope and Mrs. Anna Nokes, all of Nixa.

Edgar Inman, 83, of Nixa, died about 7 p.m. Tuesday at the St. John’s Regional Health Center in Springfield, Missouri after a long illness. Mr. Inman was a retired carpenter and had lived in the Nixa area about 20 years. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Nixa. Survivors include; two sons, Nolan of Nixa and Glenn of Springfield; one daughter, Mrs. Ila Widders of Independence; two sisters, Mrs. Lavanda Pope and Mrs. Lydia McConnell both of Nixa. Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Harris Funeral Chapel, Nixa with the Rev. Joseph Fahl Officiating. Burial will be in the McConnell Cemetery, near Nixa. Frank H. Inman, 75, died at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Christian Rest Home here where he had resided since October, 1962. Mr. Inman formerly resided with his brother, E. H. Inman, of 347 North Park in Springfield. He was a former resident of the Chadwick and Sparta community, a veteran of World War I. Surviving in addition to the brother is a sister, Mrs. Calvin Mitchell, of Garrison, Mo. Services will be announced by Harris.
